Guide to Measuring Your Perfect Wig Fit

 

Please Note: Wig sizing can vary depending on your head shape and how much natural hair you have. Two people with the same head circumference may still experience a different fit.

For the most accurate measurements, make sure your hair is prepped exactly how it will be when applying your lace wig—whether that’s braided, pinned up, or lying flat.

Always use a soft measuring tape and take each measurement at least three times to ensure precision. The measuring tape should be placed just outside your hairline, as lace wigs are designed to sit slightly beyond your natural hairline.

Measurement Guide

1. Circumference

Wrap the measuring tape around your head, starting at your hairline in the front. It should pass behind your ears, around the nape of your neck, and meet back at the starting point.

• Additional sizes not listed in the chart:

• XS: 19-20.5” circumference

• XL: 23-24” circumference

2. Front to Nape

Begin about ½ inch in front of your hairline and extend the tape over the crown of your head to the nape of your neck.

3. Ear to Ear (Across Forehead)

Position the tape at your sideburn, just in front of your ear, and measure across your forehead to the sideburn on the opposite side.

4. Ear to Ear (Over the Top of Head)

Start at your hairline above one ear, measure across the top of your head, and end at the hairline above your other ear.

5. Temple to Temple (Around the Back of Head)

Place the measuring tape at one temple, wrap it around the back of your head, and bring it to the opposite temple.

6. Nape of Neck

Measure the width of your hairline at the nape of your neck.

Taking accurate measurements ensures the best fit for your lace wig, so don’t rush the process! If you’re unsure, have someone assist you to get the most precise results.

Exchanges & Store Credit

All of our made-to-order and custom wigs are final sale.

We strive to accommodate our clients’ unique needs; however, due to the bespoke nature of our custom and made-to-order wigs, all sales are final, and we are unable to offer refunds once an order has been placed.

Ready-to-Ship Wigs

For our Ready-to-Ship Collection, we offer a 10-day exchange policy for store credit (minus a $199 restock, sanitation, and restyling fee to ensure the highest quality standards for our clients).

To qualify for a return:

• You must contact us at contact@manewishes.com within 10 days of the date your wig was delivered to you. We will email or text you the information needed to process your return.

• The wig must be in its original condition—unworn, unaltered, and with the lace uncut.

• The wig must be returned in its original packaging, including all items that were included when it was delivered to you.

• Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trusted shipping carrier with tracking confirmation.

• You must send us the tracking number for your return once it has been shipped.

All store credit is final and cannot be refunded for cash.

 

Custom & Made-to-Order Wigs Policy

At Mane Wishes, we take pride in crafting luxury handmade wigs tailored to your specifications. If you place an order for a made-to-order or custom wig and we do not have the specific materials required to fulfill your request:

• We will reach out to you with alternative options, or you may choose to wait until the materials become available.

• If none of the available alternatives work for you, you may choose to cancel your order before production begins.

Once production has begun on your wig, cancellations are no longer allowed.

Lace-Cutting Service Add-On

• Lace-cutting services are an additional $99.

• If you opt for lace-cutting on a ready-to-ship wig, it becomes final sale and cannot be exchanged or returned.

Once we receive your return, please allow 5 to 10 business days for us to inspect your order and process your store credit (if eligible).

Processing & Delivery

Perfection takes time. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for us to craft and deliver your made-to-order or custom wig.
